Seamus Coleman is set to be rewarded for his stunning recent form in which he has netted four goals in his last six matches by getting a significantly improved contract to keep him at the club.
Coleman has been linked with moves away from Everton with Arsenal and Manchester United rumored to be interested in acquiring the services of the talented Killybegs man.
Roberto Martinez however has insisted that Everton will do everything they can to keep Coleman at the club and are set to offer him an improved contract at the end of the season.
It is believed that Coleman will be offered 3 million a year to commit himself to Everton.
Coleman signed a long term contract with Everton just over a year ago that will keep him at the club until 2017.
But with the Premiership big guns lurking Everton are getting ready to offer him a new bumper contract to remain on at Goodison park.
Martinez told the Daily Mail,
“I’m sure at the end of the season we will look at his contract.
“His role in the team is growing. He is getting more important.
“He is happy at Everton and has a long-term contract but I always said that players that do well and perform, it is my intention to sit down in the summer and reassess.
“That could be bad for everyone with big contracts as well! He deserves a reward. He has been terrific.
“He has created at least two good opportunities in every game and has been getting better in taking those chances and is getting better.
“He is getting stronger in the build-up play, in the positional play, and growing as a player. He is a young man but the sky is the limit.
Coleman looks set to be joined at Everton by Ireland star Aiden McGeady who qualifies to play for the Republic due to ancestral roots in Donegal.
