Reality TV star Joey Essex has lent his support to ‘Team Donegal’ who are participating in the Race around Ireland with Bumbleance to raise much needed funds for the dedicated children’s ambulance service.
Joey Essex shot to fame in the ITV reality TV show TOWIE and also starred in this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. 
He backed ‘Team Donegal’ during his recent visit to The Bailey’s Nightclub in Redcastle.
Essex was overwhelmed by the kindness shown to him during his visit and said Donegal was ‘lush’.
Essex said, “I’ve absolutely loved my time in Donegal and the people have been so nice to me. Donegal is well ‘lush’.
Team Donegal will compete in Race around Ireland 2014 with cyclists from all over the world.
In the shadow of the imposing Trim Castle riders will prepare themselves for one of the toughest cycling challenges in the world.
Race around Ireland will take riders on a 2150km journey past some of the most stunning scenery in the country.
The route will take you past Newgrange, The Causway Coast, Malin Head, Cliffs Of Moher Ring Of Kerry, The Garden County and back to Navan and it’s all to be completed within 96 hours.
Team donegal have teamed up with BUMBLEance which is Irelands one and only dedicated children ambulance serving Donegal and the 32 counties of Ireland free of charge to families with life limiting conditions.
With such a vital service for Donegal and the 32 counties that transport children to national treatment centres children’s hospitals, respite centres and hospices.
There fundraising campaign kicks of on Thurs 6th Feb in Ramelton with there 5k Run and walk with special guest Endurance athlete motivational speaker and business coach Gerry Duffy.
Run and walk at 7.30pm with registration in Ramelton Town Hall or you can pre-register by emailing ramelton5k@yahoo.ie.
