Neil McGee and Christy Toye have been named in the Hoganstand team of the week following Donegal’s comprehensive and ruthless victory over Laois on Sunday.
The withdrawal of Toye from the panel last year was a huge blow to Donegal and they suffered as a result of his absence.
Toye had a number of health issues that prompted him to take a year out of the game following what was a fantastic year for him and Donegal when they captured the All-Ireland in 2012.
He announced his arrival back on the scene with a fantastic performance against Laois on Sunday.
A good week for Toye was cemented by the news he was named on the Hoganstand team of the week alongside fellow Donegal team mate Neil McGee who was also named on the team.
McGee was resolute in snuffing out the potential of any threat poised by the Laois attack and produced an exemplary performance at full-back.
Donegal travel to Galway this Sunday hoping to build on the impressive start they made last week.
