A Donegal primary school has been nominated for a prestigious Eircom Junior Spider Award.
Cloughfin National School from Ballindrait in Lifford have been nominated in the Best Website Award category.
School Principal Fiona Farry said there was great excitement in school when they found out the school website has been shortlisted for the Eircom Junior Spider Awards.
“The awards, which were established in 2009, recognise and reward students for the successful and innovative ways in which they use the Internet in their daily lives.”
“We are shortlisted in the Primary Schools’ Best School Website Category and face tough competition from schools in Mayo, Dublin, Limerick and Leitrim.
“We are the only Donegal school to be shortlisted and the only primary school in Ulster to be shortlisted.”
The Awards Ceremony will take place in the RDS, in Dublin, in early March and three students will be chosen to represent the school.
