Mark English has been ruled out of competing in the World Indoor Athletics Championships.
The 31-year-old Finn Valley AC man won’t have the chance to add to his brilliant 800m European Indoor Championships Bronze medal he earned last week in the Netherlands.
Five-time European medallist English made the announcement via Instagram this morning.
“Unfortunately, I will not be competing at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China,” English said.
“I’m dealing with an illness that I picked up since the European Indoors in Apeldoorn.”
“Massively disappointing for me personally, but I want to wish the team and my Fast 8 Track Club teammates travelling the very best of luck.”
