Clonmany Shamrocks were victorious over Cockhill Celtic in today’s Clubman Shirts League Cup Final.
Clonmany were the underdogs against the reigning League Cup holders, but a super defensive performance saw them claim the cup.
The 2024 FAI Junior Cup winners Cockhill dominated for long spells but couldn’t find the back of the net against a resilient Clonmany team.
Aaron Porter struck the winner for Clonmany, nodding in from a cross in the 76th minute.
Despite the best efforts of Cockhill, Clonmany would hold on and lift the trophy against the odds following an inspired performance.
