Hundreds of primary school children are heading to Sports Hall Athletics finals in Letterkenny which are being held at the Aura centre tomorrow Friday the 8th of March. 
Following the successes of our national athletes in the European Indoor Championships it is now the turn of the next generation of athletes.
Friday 8th March next is the date set for the finals of the Sports Hall Athletics for Primary Schools Competition in the Aura Leisure Centre, Letterkenny.
In what promises to be a morning full of endeavour, enthusiasm, athletics ability and fun, approximately 800 children representing their primary schools who have come through the regional selection will participate in what promises to be a spectacular finale. 
The format for Sports Hall Athletics is based on teams of at least 9 children form each school participating in a six of sprint event and field events such as standing long jump, triple jump, 1k ball throw, vertical jump and speed bounce all happening under the roof of the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny.
With two teams from each section going forward to the national stages of the competition in Sligo on the 14th March there is no doubt that their will be huge excitement as our young stars of the future give their all for their school.
Everyone welcome to come along and experience what will be a fun morning of athletic endeavour. 
The event is coordinated by the Donegal Sports Partnership, Athletics Ireland and Donegal Athletics Board with the support of Cumann na mBunscoil
