The fire rages near Dungloe

These are the dramatic scenes as a major gorse fire raged on the outskirts of Dungloe last night.

Two sections of the fire service from Dungloe and another from Gaoth Dobhair arrived at the scene of the fire in the townland of Tubberkeen.

The blaze is threatened to spread out of control and is close to a number of homes.

One of the homes in the vicinity belongs to broadcaster Gay Byrne.

The fire broke out a short time ago at around 10pm. Gardai have sealed off roads in the area.

One eye-witness told Donegal Daily that the fire is burning on hillside behind a number of houses in the area.

“It’s a major fire now but the fire service are trying to bring it under control. Hopefully the wind is blowing in the right direction that it blows away form the houses,” he said.

The blaze comes just days after Donegal County Council issued a warning for people to be vigilant because of a recent dry spell of weather.

A spokesperson from the organising Committee, commented: “This annual wreath laying ceremony reflects the deep commitment of local Republican minded people for remembering our Patriot dead.

“This annual Easter ceremony is always an opportunity to reflect on the incredible sacrifices made by previous generations, to remember that in every generation over the past 200 years people have striven and in many cases given their lives to create an Ireland based on the principles of equality and justice.

“We are mindful that the struggle to create an Ireland at peace with itself, governed by itself and governed in the best interests of all, continues today”.

A wreath was laid on behalf of Sinn Fein and the 1916 Proclamation was read by Claire Thomas.

GAA: DUNGLOE 1-11, NAOMH MUIRE 0-09

GAA BALLOn a cold and blustery Easter Sunday afternoon these two neighbours went into battle in front of a large crowd.

Playing with the elements in the first half it was the visitors who started brightly with a point in the opening two minutes from young Ciar·n McCafferty following a great run and layoff from full back Brian Gillespie. Harry Harden then fired wide from the right hand wing as Naomh Muire pushed forward trying to make the most of the wind advantage.

Dungloe, moving the ball quickly, opened their account on seven minutes with a point from the lively Adrain Hanlon.

The hard working Paul ‘The Yank’ Boyle fired wide two minutes later as Naomh Muire looked to respond. The visiting defence were alert moments later when they thwarted a certain gaol with Dungloe having to recycle the ball resulting in a wide.

Naomh Muire went on the attack again but notched their third wide as the half drew to a close. Then a quickly taken free put in the Dungloe midfielder to slot over an easy score to nudge Dungloe in front by a point.

Some good play saw Naomh Muire finish the half stonger and they converted two free to go in at half time one point up. A fairly even match with scores being exchanged left the half time score, Dungloe 0-05 Naomh Muire 0-06.

Playing with the breeze and the hill in the second half, the home team leveled things up inside the first three minutes with an Adrian Sweeney free. Owen Grant shot wide for Naomh Muire following a good move up the left hand side. Paul Boyle restored Naomh Muire’s lead minutes later with an excellent point from distance.

Then the turning point of the game occurred when Naomh Muire had the chance to go two points up only for Shaun Boyle’s effort to come back off the post. Dungloe gained possession and broke quickly down the field where they fed Adrian Sweeney who laid it off to the corner forward who slotted it past Shaun Gallagher to push Dungloe two points ahead.

Two frees from former county man Sweeney in the 13th and 15th minute extended the home team’s lead and he followed this up with a long range point from play to leave five points in it after 17 minutes. Naomh Muire introduced Hugh Martin for Darragh White and Shaun ‘The Yank’ Boyle for Ciar·n McCafferty shortly afterwards as they attempted to freshen things up. Adrian Sweeney, playing at full forward then scored another point from play before Ciar·n McGinely replied with a close range free. Naomh Muire enjoyed a spell of possession now but failed to convert it into scores. An off the ball incident in the 23rd minute saw referee Mickey Mulhern issue a straight red card to Dungloe’s Adrian Hanlon for striking.

Naomh Muire mounted several good attacks as they went in search of gaols. Shaun ‘The Yank’ fired narrowly wide before a five man move saw P·draig McCafferty in on goal but the defence stood firm. Both teams exchanged points at the end as the time ran out.

Malin GAAMalin Reserves 3-08 Ardara reserves 2-08
Match Report
Malin reserves started off their season in impressive style with a hard fought victory over Ardara in Connolly Park Malin.

The team were presented with a new strip for the coming season from Brian McGilloway and Neil Mc Gilloway of Craig Na Hulla Design.

Malin got off to the perfect start with a Dermot Diver goal on two minutes after Dan McDaid’s effort had been brilliantly saved by the Ardara keeper but Diver was on hand to tap in the rebound. Dan McDaid started the game in fine form with two points from play in the opening ten minutes. The visitors spun into action after this and scored two unanswered points, one each from frees by the impressive Aidan Shovlin and Aaron Bennett. Malin however did not lie down and a superb Ryan Green goal on twenty minutes saw the home team extend their lead, Green won a high ball above the fullback and finished neatly under the advancing keeper. Shovlin got one back for Ardara from another free and also got one from play from out on the right side. Ryan Green had a great chance for another goal before half time but the keeper made an excellent save. Malin finished the half strong and scored two points on the stroke of half time with Green getting a point from play and a 45’ against a difficult wind by Dan McDaid to leave the half time score Malin 2-04 Ardara 0-04. Ardara came out for the second half a different team and rocked Malin with a goal and three points in a ten minute spell after half time. A free from Fergal O hEinne and a 45’ by Shovlin before a goal by Joseph McLaughlin followed by a another O hEinne point seen the game drawn. Aidan Shovlin then gave Ardara the lead but Malin gave team manager Steven Grant great courage when after going behind briefly they went on to score one four in the final ten minutes. Dan McDaid scored from play to level them game and then an imporatnt free to edge ahead. Seamus Doherty, who was playmaker throughout, scored an excellent point. Dermot Diver who had been in the wars against the Ardara fullback answered him in style with a 45’ to leave Malin three up. A Kieran McColgan goal with three minutes left looked to have finished the game but credit to Ardara they never gave up and punished the Malin defence with a Conor Gallagher goal with the last kick of the game and Malin held out for a fine victory back in division 1.

OUT-OF-DATE CHOCOLATE EGGS LEAVES DONEGAL PUBLIC SICK TO THE STOMACH

A number of people have received treatment after eating what is believed to have been an out-of-date batch of Easter eggs made from goat’s milk.images-5

The confectionary is understood to have been sold door-to-door around a number of towns across Donegal including Letterkenny, Buncrana, Dungloe and Ballyshannon.

The eggs, called Fool’s Temptation, are understood to have originated from a factory in Belfast.

The chocolate eggs were sold at a knockdown price and are understood to have been distributed by a company called R Abbott and Sons.

A number of people have been treated for various illnesses since eating the eggs including the runs and having to hop off to the toilet every five minutes.

One health official told Donegal Daily that he cannot believe so many people were fooled into buying the cheap eggs and didn’t suspect anything untoward.

“We’re determined to get to the bottom of this. Whoever sold these eggs have some cheek,” he said.

He pleaded with people to check the date on all such items if they are offered such goods again.

Some of the suspect eggs are believed to have contained a display-by date of April 1st, 2007.

GAA NEWS: GLENSWILLY CLUB NOTES

It was a busy yet successful weekend for the club’s senior and reserve teams, as both kicked off their league campaigns with a double fixture weekend.Glenswilly GAA Club

Things got underway in Buncrana on Good Friday evening with both teams getting off to winning starts. The seniors ran out 2-04 to 0-15 winners in the end with a little thanks to a Michael Murphy masterclass. Murphy kicked a total of 13 points in the game while Caolan ‘Savi’ McFadden and Caolan Kelly added a point each to the scoreboard.

Meanwhile, the reserves battled to a 0-8 to 0-5 victory in their game to round off a very satisfactory day for the Glen. Less than 48 hours later both teams were in action again, this time travelling to a fairly blustery McCumhaill Park to take on the men from the Twin Towns. The reserves started proceedings by gaining a well deserved point after coming from behind very late in the game, with the final score being 1-2 to 0-5. As the Spirit of Freedom Band drummed through the streets of Stranorlar, Michael Murphy continued to show an immense spirit of his own ‘drumming’ over a total of 5 points for the seniors in what proved to be a straightforward 0-02 to 0-12 win for Gary McDaid’s charges. Fellow county man Gary ‘Copper’ McFadden managed 4 points of his own in the game while Glenswilly’s other scores came from the feet of Caolan Kelly (0-02) and Darren McGinley (0-01). Both teams can take a great amount of pride in what was a demanding weekend, as the Glen lie on top of both the Division 2 and Division 2 Reserve leagues.

Neither team plays next weekend due to Donegal taking on Dublin on Sunday the 7th April in the National Football League. Throw in there is at 3pm in Ballybofey. Stewards are required for this game so if you are available please contact club chairman Mick Murphy or club secretary Sharon McGinty. Elswhere the other team in action this weekend, the u15′s, had a resounding win in their game against Glenfin in the Gaeltacht Championship.

The Minors are in action this week as they travel to Fanad in the hope of keeping alive their chances of reaching a league semi final spot. Throw in is at 6.30pm in Portsalon.

OFFICIAL! PARTS OF DONEGAL ARE ‘STILL PART OF THE UK’

enda craigPARTS of Co Donegal are still British, it has been confirmed.

The Crown Estate, the agency which manages British Government property, is insisting that it owns the Donegal side of Lough Foyle – right up to the high tide mark.

And the organisation is threatening legal action if Donegal County Council goes ahead with plans to put a 300-metre sewage outflow pipe into the lough.

So that means a 23-year battle between the council and local residents over the sewage pipe could be at an end – and could force the council to back to a proposal from 18 years ago to locate the sewage treatment plant and pipe beside the Atlantic.

Garda sources have also confirmed that officers stationed in Inishowen are warned that their jurisdiction ends at the foreshore.

Enda Craig from the Campaign for a Clean Estuary group which opposes the outflow pipe told Donegal Daily: “People in Moville and Greencastle have known about this territorial claim for years.

“It’s not something that is a big issue really, except of course that the claim will prevent the sewage pipe proposals from going ahead and that is very good news for everyone.

“We always felt that pumping treated sewage into the Lough Foyle estuary would be an environmental disaster; especially as there is provision for untreated sewage to go in during flooding periods.”

The group recently spent four days in court challenging a decision by planners to give the scheme the go-ahead – agains the advice of its own officials.

But now the Crown Estate has told the Irish government at meetings that it still owns the entire lough, the seabed and the foreshore on the Donegal side of the Border.

BOXING – BUNCRANA BANGER LOOKING FOR A REPEAT AGAINST HEALY

Hutch vs Healy straight right

‘The Buncrana Banger’ John Hutchinson will again face Belfast’s Gerard ‘Boom Boom’ Healy in a rerun of their thrilling encounter last year at the Odyssey Arena.

This time the pair meet in Healy’s ‘backyard’ at the Devenish Complex, Belfast on Saturday, April 6th and Hutchinson is eager to put an end of online feud that erupted after their first meeting, with both sets of fans arguing that ‘their man’ was the rightful victor.

Hutchinson’s first year in the pro ranks has got off to a flying start and the 26-year-old Donegal fighter’s confidence was buoyed further after earning the first knockout win of his career when he flattened Lithuanian tough-nut Mantas Bakstinas inside a single round at Birmingham’s HMV Institute in February which earned rave reviews from in the British boxing press.

That win brought the young prospect’s perfect record to three victories from three fights, but there have been lingering demands from Healy’s Gleann Gym camp for a rematch with the West Belfast slugger because they felt they were hard done-by on the judge’s scorecard after their original encounter on Heavyweight Tyson Fury’s bill in December.

“We were planning on fighting a routine four round fight on the same bill versus a lesser opponent than Healy just to keep John ticking over for a bigger fight later on in the year, but then I got a call from Chris Graham at Emerald Promotions asking if we would grant Healy a rematch instead, this time over six rounds.,” explained manager Leonard Gunning.

“It’s a really tough fight, the first encounter was a bruising battle that had the fans on the edge of their seats so I needed some time to think about if we had enough time to prepare correctly for a fight of this nature. I spoke to Hutchy’s experienced trainer John Breen and we agreed that we should roll the dice and take the fight. It’s an opportunity for John to show just how much he has improved, even over the last six months, so I just hope his supporters in Donegal come and back him because he will need their encouragement as he travels to Healy’s home turf in Belfast.

Hutchinson has little doubt he was well worth the win in their initial battle and is confident that not only will there be a repeat of the original result but that the manner of the victory will more decisive in the long awaited rematch.

“Gerard put in a great performance in the first fight and it was a hard hard nights work for us both. But I was the busier boxer and I was beating him to the punch every time. I got drawn into a scrap that night and let the occasion and my emotions of fighting in a big arena like that get to me,” said Hutchinson.

“It was a true old fashioned toe-to-toe fight and all-action, but I enjoyed it, I enjoy those types of fights, probably more than I should and so do the fans but I enjoyed the result even more. The scorecards gave it to me by a very wide margin, but that doesn’t tell the full tale of the fight.

“Gerard and I are friends outside of the ring, he is a genuine warrior and that increases my respect for him. Some of his team weren’t happy with the result and thought he won it, and some of his fans pretty vocal in expressing their thoughts on the result as well, it even turned into a bit of a slanging match on the internet over it. It just shows how passionate his fans are and it’s great to have support like that. They have been screaming for a rematch since the last fight and if they want it that bad then I am happy to give them what they want but the result will still be the same,” explained the former Illies Golden Gloves slugger.

The ‘Emerald Gems’ bill features a host of host of Ireland’s top up and coming prospects including Irish champion Anthony Cacace and unbeaten prospects like Philip Sutcliffe Jnr, Ray Ginley, Dee Walsh and Tyrone McKenna with the likes of Eddie Nesbitt and Joe Hillerby adding more quality to the show.

Tickets for John’s bout at the Devenish Complex, North Finaghy Road, Belfast on Saturday, April 6th are £30 and available in Derry from the Love Hot Yoga Studio in Springtown Industrial Estate or in Buncrana at O’Flaherty’s Bar. Alternatively you can call 087 122 0660 in the south or 079 85 646 187 in the north or visit www.boxing-ireland.com.

CHILDCARE MANAGER URGES DONEGAL CHILDCARE SERVICES TO APPLY FOR FUNDING

Avril McMonagle, Donegal Childcare Manager is strongly urging all early childhood services in County Donegal to apply for the new capital grant announced by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs which provides €2.75 million to support the ongoing improvement of the early childhood sector on Ireland.Avril McMonagle DCCC Manager

Donegal County Childcare is offering 142 early childhood service providers across the county a range of advisory supports over the next month to enable them to avail of this opportunity to provide the best learning experiences possible for young children.

The recently announced 2013 funding scheme is smaller than the allocation for 2012 and is expected to be extremely competitive.

The scheme covers improvements in four important areas including small grants to purchase equipment or carry out small maintenance work; grants to improve accessibility of services for children with disabilities, grants to provide natural outdoor spaces that promote active outdoor play and; grants towards critical works to ensure that buildings are fit for purpose under the childcare regulations.

When asked how Donegal early childhood services could improve their chances of being successful in obtaining funding Avril advised ‘The criteria and funding limits of this programme have been designed to ensure the best possible outcome for investment, therefore, it is hugely important that early childhood services carefully review the application guidance document provided and submit applications strictly in line with this.

“For example, if a service is applying for the development of a natural outdoor space it is imperative that the proposal is clear, complete and backed up with the relevant documentation including proof of need and accessibility to/ownership of, the space in question. Value for money is also central so any requests for funding need to be supported by realistic, comparable quotations. When the need to shortlist applications is so competitive, it is remarkable how many applications don’t get passed the first stage due to the omission of one piece of information’

Avril also encouraged early childhood services to ‘keep it local’ by working with local businesses when compiling quotations for natural outdoor play structures in particular.

She said ‘There is a tendency to purchase outdoor adventure structures from big multinational outlets but I would urge early childhood service providers to work with local trades’ people and businesses in Donegal to provide quotations for the development of outdoor play spaces and wooden structures. These can often represent best value for money and can also be used as a sound rationale as part of a funding application regarding access to ongoing maintenance works’.

The programme is now open for applications via the Pobal website www.pobal.ie and applications for funding will be made on-line until Tuesaday 30th April 2013. Full details regarding grant conditions are on the DCCC website www.donegalchildcare.com or on DCCC facebook page www.facebook.com/DonegalChildcare.

For advice and assistance to complete the application please contact Donegal County Childcare on 074 9123442 and ask to speak to a Childcare Development Officer who will provide support and advice regarding the application and appraisal process.

Last weekend was a mixed weekend for Otway members, starting off on Saturday with the annual Easter hamper competition, ran in stableford format on a cold but calm day.GOLF LOGO

Dave Hughes claimed this years basket of goodies with a hard fought 42 pts, followed closely in second place by Noel Fisher, and Gerry Gallagher in third.

The nines were won by Sean Sweeney and Pat McNulty, leaving all the prizes on the day going to the more ‘senior’ club members, and the ‘young guns’ trailing behind ! On Sunday the club was well represented by officers and members at the funeral of past-captain Jim Kerr, Rathmullan, who passed away on Good Friday. Jim is remembered by many past and present members of Otway GC, and the club offers sympathy and condolences to his family on their loss.

FOOTBALL

Played in foundering conditions throughout and a strong, biting wind in the first half, Saint Naul’s turned in a powerful and effective performance to see off the challenge of a young Aodh Ruadh outfit last Saturday on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-8.

Aodh Ruadh trailed by 0-4 to 1-5 at the end of a first half where they had faced into a stiff breeze and looked to be in good position to mount a serious challenge in the second half with the following wind.

However a serious back injury to Saint Naul’s Adrian Kennedy meant the commencement of the second half was significantly delayed, during which time the wind dropped greatly and became less of a factor.

Ballyshannon won the second half, but couldn’t get close enough to really make Mountcharles sweat.

There was much for Aodh Ruadh followers to take encouragement from. David McGurrin’s 1-4 in his first game of senior football heralded the emergence of a major new talent for the club, while right across the pitch there were promising displays from young Ballyshannon men.

We have a full match report and pictures from the game up at aodhruadh.org.

Aodh Ruadh reserves came close to turning over Saint Naul’s despite fielding with the bare 15 last Saturday.

They played a super game against a considerable breeze in the first half and, thanks to goals from James McIntyre and Fiachra McIntyre, were able to go in at the break leading by 2-1 to 0-6 with the wind at their backs in the second half.

Ballyshannon did well on limited possession in the second half, but Saint Naul’s were able to introduce second half substitutes who were able to exploit the visitor’s weakness in that sector and that was enough to see Mountcharles take the points.

James McIntyre had a good game in attack, finishing with a goal and a point. Anthony Coughlin got through a lot of ball and finished with two points to his credit, while Ruairí Drummond was a cut above at half forward and also chipped in with a point.

Defensively David McLoone had an excellent outing, while in the half back line Chris Goan was as industrious as ever and Peter Horan’s speed was a valuable asset.

There are pictures from the game up on aodhruadh.org.

The division three leagues continue this Saturday, 6th April with Aodh Ruadh hosting Naomh Colmcille.

The senior game throws in at 6.45pm and is preceded by the reserves at 5.30pm. We also have fixtures for round three of the leagues.

These will see Aodh Ruadh travel to Naomh Padraig, Lifford on Saturday 13th April. The reserve game throws in at 5.45pm and is followed by the seniors at 7pm.

The minors lost at home to Dungloe 0-6 to 1-9 last Tuesday. It was a very youthful team with injuries taking a heavy toll on the homesters in recent weeks.

Nevertheless many of the younger players drafted in gave very good accounts of themselves. Kevin Warnock was very good in goals while defenders Paddy Gillespie and Ryan Patton were both steady on their return from long term injuries.

The irrepressible Niall Harley played a great shift at midfield while up front Oisín Roper and Philip Patton were impressive inside.

The minors next fixture is slated for Wednesday 3rd April when Naomh Conaill are down to provide the opposition in Father Tierney Park at 7pm.

The under 14s lost out 3-3 to 4-13 in a game, played in blisteringly cold conditions at Father Tierney Park on Easter Monday.

Aodh Ruadh played in patches, but never anywhere near long enough to trouble a decent Naomh Conaill outfit.

Mark Gallagher had a good game between the posts for Aodh Ruadh, pulling off a string of excellent saves.

Barry Kelly and Conal Sweeny both put in creditable performances while Sean Taylor put in a great shift at midfield and was a great attacking threat too.

Meanwhile up front Shane Dorrian was the most dangerous of Ballyshannon’s attackers. We have a full match report up on aodhruadh.org.

Aodh Ruadh’s are at home once again for their next fixture, this time against Saint Naul’s on Monday 8th April at 7pm.

Under 6 and under 8 training recommences on Friday, 12th April from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh.

There is no charge for this training. Parents/guardians are reminded it is an essential insurance requirement all players are registered.

As such we cannot allow players who are not registered to take part in the blitzes and will be enforcing this requirement strictly.

Bord na nÓg host a céilí, old time barn dance in the Rock Hall, Ballyshannon this Saturday 6th April at 9.30pm. Music by The Assaroe Céilí Band. Supper Served. Admission €8.

The seventh Annual hurl-a-thon takes place in the Mercy Hall this Saturday with the fun and action beginning at 10am and continuing non-stop throughout the day until 10pm.

Along with being the underage hurlers main fund-raiser for the year it is also a great day of craic for all both young and old.

As always refreshments will be served throughout the day and there will be a cup of tea for all. So drop into the Mercy Hall this Saturday at any stage to see all the thrills and spills associated with this fun filled event.

If you have never tried playing our ancient game, a game unique to Ireland, Saturday is your chance to start. Come along and bring your friends, the more the merrier! Time table for the day is as follows.

10am to 1pm: Under 8s and 10s

1pm to 3pm: Under 12s.

3pm to 6pm: Under 14s

6pm to 10pm: Under 16s, minors, parents, friends and families.

Please support the juvenile hurler’s with this fundraiser as they are out and about seeking sponsorship!

The hurling season began last Thursday. Unfortunately the minors saw no action as MacCumhaill’s were unable to field.

The under 14s travelled to MacCumhaill Park to play the home team. MacCumhaill’s had a few very strong players down the middle and got off to a good start and led at half time 1-5 to 0-2.

Early season rustiness showed in Aodh Ruadh’s play and this young team were unable to take a number of scoring chances in the second half.

The physically stronger MacCumhaill’s lads were able to take their scores easier and they ran out convincing winners 3-7 to 0-3.

Credit to the Aodh Ruadh lads, many of them playing their first game at this level and on a full size pitch they never gave up and continued battling to the end.

Many thanks to the parents who drove the squad to this game their efforts in saving the club the expense of a bus are much appreciated.

This Thursday the minors are due to play Setanta in Father Tierney Park with throw in at 6.30pm. The under 14s travel to the Cross to take on Setanta on the same evening with throw-in 6.30pm

The Donegal minors travelled to the Glens of Antrim last Saturday to take on the home team in the Ulster minor league.

They were comprehensively beaten, Division 1 is a big step up and the majority of the panel are under age again next season so hopefully playing at this level will improve their game.

Aodh Ruadh had three starters on the team Tommy Gillespie, Eugene Drummond and Eddie Lynch, Donal Sweeney and Oisín Rooney came on in the second half. This Saturday they play Armagh in Letterkenny.

We host the first under 12 blitz of the year this Sunday with play beginning at 11am it’s hoped that five teams will be taking part on the day.

Training continues for all other age groups at 12 noon we would especially like to see an increase in numbers at under 8 and under 10 level, come along and try this great game of hurling.

You’ll be surprised at the amount of fun you will have and the new friends you’ll make. No experience necessary hurls and helmets will be provided for training.

The under 16 girls got their season off to a good start last Tuesday evening with a home win over Four Masters. This Tuesday they make the trip to Mountcharles to face a strong Saint Naul’s team. Throw-in is at 6.30pm.

Dungloe 2-09 Glenfin 0-11.

Dungloe got their Division 2 league campaign off to a winning start on Good Friday defeating Glenfin in Rosses Park.

It was the visitors who raised the white flag first in the opening minute of the game with a point from a free by Kieran Moy.

Adrian Sweeney levelled matters on 6 mins pointing for the home side and this was quickly followed 2 mins later by a point from Adrian Hanlon.

The home side had to watch their next two attacks fall either side of the posts before Adrian Hanlon was on hand to flick to the back of the net after Conor Greene’s shot on goal was cleared by Glenfin keeper Andrew Walsh on 11 mins.

Raymond Sweeney stretched the home sides lead further by pointing on 12 mins.

Glenfin’s goal chance on 16 mins was saved by Ciaran Sharkey and the resulting 50 was dropped short and cleared up the field.

Again the home side’s shooting boots let them down and their many scorable chances went abegging as the game entered the final 10 mins.

David McCarron pointed on 21 mins for Dungloe but Kieran moy pointing from a free on 28 mins kept the visitors in touch before half time to leave the half time score Dungloe 1-4 Glenfin 0-2.
