Hundreds of people are expected to travel to Tory Island this bank holiday weekend to attend the traditional Irish music festival ‘Féile na mBoscaí’.
The festival celebrates the importance of the music and musicians of Tory Island to the recent evolution of traditional Irish music and their use of the accordion as an instrument for session music and ceilí dancing.
Some notable musicians attending are that of Dermot Byrne and Floraine Blancke who will be joined by musicians from Tory Island to celebrate in what promises to be a wonderful weekend of entertainment on the Island.
As these celebrated artists both young and old come together to share in their passion for Traditional Irish music.
The atmosphere on the island will hopefully be aided by good weather over the course of the weekend.
