The Third team traveled to Pairc Na Gael in Letterkenny for a must win match in the championship.
Mac Cumhaills started brilliantlyand soon took control of the game.
Highlight of the half was a great goal by Gavin Duffy anticipated the breaking ball around the square and slotted the ball home.
Ht score was Mac Cumhaill 1-08 Letterkenny Gaels 0-02. The second half was more of the same with Mac Cumhaills never in trouble.
They took their foot off the gas in the last 5 mins and conceded two soft goals but held on for a much deserved victory.

UNDER 16 CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP.
The girls took on Four Masters in the Championship semi Final. Mac Cumhaills started poorly, conceding 1-01 in the opening 5 mins.
The girls held their heads and settled into the match. They took control of the game and at half time had a comfortable lead of 4-01 to 1-01.
Indeed the second half was more of the same with Mac Cumhaills battling hard all over the pitch.
They kept Four Masters scoreless in the second half. Final score was Sean mac Cumhaills 5-06 Four masters 1-01.
This was a brilliant display of hurling and the girls progress to the Final on Mon night in Convoy. their opponents will be Burt.

MINOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Mac Cumhaills minors got off to a good start in championship with a 3.13—1.11 victory over the hosts in Newton.
2 Goals from Aaron Kelly and 1 from Michael Duignam were key to the result.
We started strong with points from Mark Dorian, Philip Doherty, Stephen Mulligan plus a goal and point from Aaron Kelly. (1.04—0.01)We kept pressure up and had several goal chances until Michael Duignam scored the second.
More points from duignam and Mulligan, with few points from hosts in between and unlucky Philip Doherty hit the bar left half time score 2.07 : 0.05.
Second half was hard work in heat and Mac Cumhaills chipped away with points from both excellent midfielders Nathan Gavigan and Cormac Muldoon.
Stephen Mulligan got four more points,2 from 45 yard frees and 2 from play.
Aaron Kelly continued to shine with a third goal and point only for Newton to steal a goal late on even though Eoin Farrah had made a great save to deny them moments earlier.
Chris Mc Cafferty fine game came to an end along with Mulligan and Duignam when they were taken of with injuries/fatigue.
Great defense work from all back line and half forwards!!! A real good team performance to be proud of. Finished 3.13 to 1.11.
