Garth Brooks fever has struck Donegal as anxious fans of the country and western superstar have already started to queue outside Letterkenny music store Link2 to make sure they get their hands on the tickets.
The tickets don’t go on sale until 9am tomorrow morning but that hasn’t stopped fans from queuing outside Link2 as they wait to get their hands on the hottest tickets in town.
Garth Brooks announced last week that he was returning to Ireland 17 years after he last played to a sold out Croke Park crowd.
He famously declared at the end of that concert that if the fans waited for him he would come back.
There had been widespread speculation for weeks that Brooks was expected to announce an Irish return.
The announcement was finally made last week that Brooks was returning to Ireland and Croke Park playing two dates on the 25th and 26th of July in Croke Park.
That sparked a frenzy among the thousands of Garth Brooks fans in Ireland when the announcement was made official.
It has been in the public domain ever since and a large number of hotels in Dublin have reported that they are already booked out for that weekend as fans moved swiftly to secure accommodation.
Now the race for tickets to see this legend live in Croke Park begins.
